Role: Assistant Site Superintendent
Type of Commute: On-Site (Projects Throughout New Jersey)
Skill Set: Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Plan Reading, Daily Reporting, Safety Compliance
Desired Industry Experience: 3 to 6 years (Commercial Construction)
We are seeking a proactive and field-focused Assistant Site Superintendent to support the Site Superintendent in managing daily construction operations. This role assists in subcontractor coordination, schedule enforcement, safety compliance, and quality control to ensure projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Superintendent in supervising daily jobsite activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Support development and maintenance of short-term look-ahead schedules
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality and progress
- Assist with safety enforcement and participate in safety meetings
- Track material deliveries and verify quantities
- Maintain daily reports, photo documentation, and logs in Procore
- Identify field conflicts and escalate issues proactively
- Assist in punch list completion and project closeout efforts
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial construction field supervision
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Basic understanding of construction sequencing and site logistics
- Working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, industrial, or multifamily construction
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience using Procore or similar construction management platforms
- Exposure to scheduling and subcontractor coordination
